Bill Rumley
I am Bill Rumley owner of HomeTown Bicycle Repair. My passion for bicycles can be traced back to childhood riding for hours in the Sacramento neighborhood where my technical ability amounted to placing playing cards in the spokes. After 30 years in building and mechanical maintenance trade at the University level, I began to find my way back to those simpler times while mentoring with Non-Profit Sporting Associations including the American Heart Association’s Train to End Stroke and START Training where I met (Coach) Joe Veiga and my journey to cycling, swimming, and running in earnest lead to being an Ironman two times over. My wife Mary and I are both active persons and moved to Folsom in 2012 for the easily accessible active lifestyle to cycling, running, swimming, and hiking. In October 2020 I obtained my Certified Bicycle Mechanic credential from The Bike Teacher, a member of the Professional Bicycle Mechanics Association (PBMA) in San Jose, California. I look forward to providing HomeTown Bicycle Repair customers with the highest quality, consistent and reliable bicycle repair and maintenance service available.
